Going the Extra Mile for Autism Awareness and Support
"More Than a 5K" is not just a race—it's a movement to support the caregivers of children with disabilities and the children themselves. This event brought together families, friends, and communities to raise awareness and provide crucial resources for those navigating the challenges of raising a child with a disability. Whether you ran, walked, cheered from the sidelines, or volunteered, your participation made a meaningful difference in the lives of these families. Together we were able to raise over $12,000 to help further the missions of The More Than Project in supporting the special needs family as a whole. Thank you for joining us to go the extra mile for a cause that matters.
Thank you to each person who signed up to participate as well as raised money for The More Than Project. A special thank you to the volunteers, without you this event would not be possible. Thank you to Pizza Ranch of Cottage Grove for feeding us!
A huge thank you to each of our platinum level sponsors, Schwinn Bikes, Fenseal, and Camden's Rangers for seeing the value in supporting those with disabilities and their families.
The More Than Project is driven by connecting caregivers, this 5k and walk helped us create a community event across the country! Families gathered together to support those participating virtually, families gathered in the rain in Ohio, and for a beautiful sunny day in Minnesota. This race helped us connect special needs families in a way we’ve always dreamed of!
Stay tuned for our second annual More Than a 5K and 1.36 mile walk next September.
