Dear Tired Mama,
I see you as we pass each other going for that evening walk with your little one and I with mine trying to burn off that last energy of the day.
I see you at the playground pushing your little one on the swing .
I see you walking the track with your stroller and two kids while staying committed to being healthy.
I see you as you are taking a nature walk, climbing boulders, letting your child explore get messy and dirty.
Bringing all kinds of nature and wilderness home.
Stopping to pick up;
The rock that needs to be just right.
The new flower that has just fallen.
The acorn that is just so perfect.
I see you serving breakfast for dinner cereal and chocolate milk because you are floating on autopilot.
I see you sitting in the Emergency Room patiently waiting for the fifth hour for your child to be seen.
I see you making therapy appointments and fighting insurance companies.
I see you putting your dreams on hold just a bit longer so you can do what you feel you must to take care of your family.
Dear Mama I see you taking care of your mother or father or sometimes both.
I see you in pictures wearing clothes from 6 years ago because you can wait but your child needs right now and they are always growing.
I see you hold back what you want to say when your child is going through a medically challenging time and you have heard it for the 5,000 time;
“God doesn’t put on us anything we cannot bear.”
Or
“Everything happens for a reason.”
I see you wanting to make friends but to tired put in the effort.
I see you waking early to finish the laundry prepare for the day or to just sit in quietness.
I see you up late worrying about your young adult child off in the world hoping they are making good decisions.
I see you solo mama.
I see you married mama.
I see you stay at home mama.
I see you working from home Mama
I see working outside the home Mama
I see you sipping that reheated coffee trying to make it work.
I see you dear tired mama and please know that you do not walk alone.
Wherever you find yourself on this parenting journey You are most certainly welcome here.
I see you dear Mama!
Thanks.
