This Season of Life

I have a question about this ‘season of life’ and it’s….

What in the actual heck?!

We are in the thick of it over here. And while we are no stranger to it, nothing seems to ever prepare you for kids who fight sleep, the stomach flu, pee sheets, dishes, whining, and the laundry.

There is so much laundry. Six people. It’s insanity actually.

It’s a season they say. Which I love by the way. I love looking at it that way.

Some seasons are easy breezy 75 degree sunny days.

And some are tsunamis.

And you just have to make it through. Hunker down. Don’t sweat the small stuff and focus on riding out the storm.

Buy more underwear instead of washing them.
Order in instead of cooking.
Hide in your closet and catch a 4 minute power nap.
Drive around and pray your baby falls asleep and sit in your car and watch Netflix.

And remember screen time is okay.

Anyone else in this particular season with me? Can we cheer each other on please?

Because my house looks like a tornado went through it and I haven’t showered in days and I just argued with toddler over shoes. And lost.

Bring on the coffee. And think about the next season.
