I’m Thankful for My Son’s Para
My name is Corinne and I am the proud mom of an 11 year old boy named Dante, AKA…Mini.
He was diagnosed low functioning and non verbal at the age of three. We have had many paras over the years but none who compare to our Ms. Jennifer.
Ms. Jennifer came to us when mini was seven and the immediate bond between them was amazing!
She was able to get him to do things we were told he would never be able to do. She is the most kind and loving person in the whole world.
I still remember the day she was able to get him to write his name. She even sent us home a photo.
I always knew she was “the one.” She treats him like he is family and we love her for that.
When he is home sick she sends a text checking on him, making sure we don’t need anything. I send her photos of him on weekends when we do fun things, because I know she is just as excited as we are when he accomplishes things.
She buys him birthday gifts, and ‘just because’ gifts because she is the best.
He had her for four years, and we are hoping to have her back next year. She has cried with us and laughed with us and we love her dearly for everything she has and still does for our son.
She helps educate the other children on what ASD is, even wrote a book that is in the school library about Mini, which we were told is one of the most checked out books there.
I could go on for days about Mini’s Ms. Jennifer and what an awesome person she is. She deserves all the recognition in the world for what she does and what a beautiful human being she is.
We love you Ms. Jennifer!
